Hi, and welcome to my online portfolio! Here, you can find my resume, as well as examples of completed work. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and learn more about not only myself, but my work.
My name is Meg Frankenberger and I am an Honors undergraduate student at John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. I am double majoring in Political Science (with a concentration in Global and Foreign Area) and Communication and Theatre Arts (with a concentration in Communication Studies), with minors in Spanish and Hispanic Studies, and Peace, Justice and Human Rights. Since high school I have been interested in political science, communication theory, and how to best be able to put those together. All of my experience, skills, and desire for more experience, brings me one step closer to being able to pursue a career that combines Political Science and Communication in order to help others.
Throughout my time so far at John Carroll, I have been able to be the President of Speech for the university's Speech and Debate Team, leading the team to National Championships and personally earning three awards at the 2018 Pi Kappa Delta National Comprehensive Tournament (Quarter-Finalist Novice IPDA Debate, 7th Top Speaker in IPDA, Excellence in Impromptu Speaking). Additionally, I worked as the President of the Upsilon Rho Chapter of Order of Omega, and the Vice President of Member Education for the Eta Gamma Chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority. I am currently working as a Student Union Senator as a Senator for the Class of 2020, and have been inducted into Lambda Pi Eta. Through these positions, as well as the internships and work experience I have had so far, I have been able to better develop my skills in areas such as event planning, leadership, public speaking, and research.
My goal is to combine the skills I have with the skills I want to better the community around me and pursue a career in Diplomacy while continuing to focus on what I am passionate about: helping others.
